Position Summary
The Manager of Events & Programs is a key member of the Chamber team responsible for planning, executing and evaluating a diverse portfolio of events and programs that strengthen member engagement, foster business connections and elevate the Chamber’s presence throughout the Richardson business community.

Key Responsibilities
•    Lead the planning, execution and continuous improvement of the Chamber’s signature events, including the Annual Meeting, Bowling Tournament, EDGE Awards and Golf Classic.
•    Manage monthly luncheons, networking events, programs and other Chamber gatherings.
•    Coordinate event logistics including venues, vendors, registration, sponsorship fulfillment, volunteer support and on-site execution.
•    Identify, cultivate, solicit, secure and steward event and program sponsors.
•    Coordinate promotional efforts across email, social media, website content, print materials and member communications.
•    Develop, manage and reconcile event and program budgets and maintain accurate records related to attendance, sponsorships, registrations and member engagement.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
•    Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
•    Strong written and verbal communication.
•    Proven ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
•    Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
•    Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
•    Self-motivated, adaptable and able to work independently.
•    Microsoft Office Suite expertise.
•    ChamberMaster or similar CRM/database platform.
•    Email marketing and website content management systems.
•    Canva or similar design software.

Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Hospitality, Nonprofit Management or a related field.
•    Six or more years of progressively responsible experience in event planning or project management.
•    Demonstrated success managing budgets, sponsorships, partnerships and stakeholder relationships.
•    Experience working with volunteers, boards, committees, or membership-based organizations is a plus.

Other Relevant Information
•    Salary range is $59,000-$64,000 per year, with medical benefits, paid holidays, 401K and PTO.
•    Chamber business hours are Monday through Friday. The position is in-office but requires flexibility to attend occasional events occurring before or after normal business hours.
•    Applicants must be in the North Texas area and able to legally work in the US.
•    Preference would be to start as soon as possible.
•    Reports to President & CEO.
•    Status is Full-Time, Exempt.

Work Environment
Regular Chamber business hours are Monday through Friday. This is an in-office position and requires flexibility to attend committee meetings, networking functions, community events and Chamber programs on occasional evenings and/or weekends.
