About Us

Founded in 1966 as Richardson’s first visual arts organization, RCAS has grown from a small circle of
passionate artists—both beginners and professionals—into a vibrant 501(c)(3) nonprofit that celebrates the power of
art to inspire, connect, and transform. We hold art shows and present art education events throughout the year and throughout the metroplex. Some of artists are nationally renowned and we welcome a wide variety of art forms: watercolor, oil, acrylics, mixed media, drawings, collage, and photography.
