About Us

Dialog Institute was founded in 2002 by Turkish Americans and their friends as a 501C(3) non-profit educational, cultural, and community organization under the Raindrop Foundation’s umbrella.

Our goal is to promote mutual understanding, respect, and cooperation among people of diverse backgrounds and cultures by creating opportunities for direct communication and meaningful shared experiences.

Our modest contribution to this universal aim consists of conferences, seminars, panel discussions, book clubs, joint projects, scholarships, meetings, cooking classes, festivals, trips, and several other activities. Some of our signature programs are the “Dialogue Matters” lecture series which bring noted speakers to our community to provide different perspectives to understand and dialog one another; the “Table of Abraham” interfaith gatherings where representatives of three monotheistic religions come together; “United Through Prayer,” where we hosted a prominent faith leader to share their reflections and prayers during the first two months of the pandemic and finally Ramadan Dinners, where Muslims to get together with friends and neighbors to share the spirit of the Muslim holy month Ramadan.
