Description
Leadership like a Girl Scout
Speaker: Jennifer Bartkowski, CEO, Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas
Jennifer Bartkowski has spent the last decade as the very proud CEO of Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas, the largest girl serving organization in North Texas. Through a lifelong journey of learning and leading, she has developed a set of powerful and uniquely feminine leadership tools that have guided her through innovation, transformational change, and the uncertainty of the world today.
Jennifer Bartkowski is the Chief Executive Officer of Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas (GSNETX). She has been with GSNETX since 2009 and previously served as Chief Development Officer and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Jennifer pioneered a national Girl Scout STEM initiative built on the success of the $15M STEM Center of Excellence in southwest Dallas. This 92-acre campus opened in 2018 and is a living laboratory for girls meant to change the workforce pipeline for North Texas. In addition, under Jennifer’s leadership, GSNETX has accelerated the rollout of a mental health initiative, and has re-strengthened its commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and the outdoor leadership experience. Today, Jennifer is cultivating the council’s strategy for the future to provide equitable access to all girls to the Girl Scout Leadership Experience through reimagined program delivery and volunteer models that create a sense of belonging and foster relevant experiences that propel girls and their futures.
Jennifer holds a Master of Public Administration from Texas A&M University and has worked with a variety of organizations including United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, American Lung Association of Texas, and as an independent consultant.
Jennifer is a graduate of Leadership Dallas and the Stagen Social Change Leadership Cohort. She is Chair-Elect of the Leadership Dallas Alumnae Board, President-Elect of The Dallas Summit, Board Chair of Connections Multiplied, Too (CM2), a member of SMU’s Continuing and Professional Education program Women in Leadership Advisory Board, sits on the Aggie Women Network Board of Directors and serves as a founding board member of Carson’s Village. Jennifer was recently recognized as a member of D CEO Magazine’s 2023 Dallas 500,
named a 2023 Most Admired CEO by the Dallas Business Journal, and is a newly elected member of the Dallas Assembly.
