Come and hear this panel discussion which will review Richardson's art offerings from academic, artistic, and business perspectives as well as how the cultural art community gives Richardson an economic advantage.

Katherine Wagner is CEO for Business Council for the Arts, where she provides executive leadership, advocating for a strong bond between commerce and culture in North Texas. She began her career in arts administration at Indiana University, immediately after receiving her MFA in Printmaking and a Ford Foundation Grant. Previous to her current position, she served for more than 10 years as Executive Director of Dallas Visual Art Center, providing opportunities for regional working artists, arts organizations and arts supporters and representing the organization to The Meadows Foundation, Inc. on the design and building of a new state-of-the-art facility which was completed in 2000. She has served as curator, jurist and panelist for numerous organizations including those of the General Services Administration, the Texas Commission on the Arts, the City of Dallas, Office of Cultural Affairs and Americans for the Arts.
Kitty Goddard, past chair of the City of Richardson Arts Commission (2001-2009), is a consultant in the areas of non-profits, marketing and public relations, and publication design. With a degree in education and English, she taught in the Richardson ISD, worked with the National Staff Development Council, Jostens Educational Software Corporation, and has been the Director of Development and Public Relations for the American Institute of Musical Studies (AIMS), an organization that provides an enrichment program for opera singers. As past member of the International Food Wine and Travel Writers' Association, she served as a consultant to restaurant groups and non-profits supporting strategic planning and marketing efforts, and was the founding editor and creative director of the lifestyles magazine, Richardson Living. With a rich arts background, she has sung with choirs on a variety of world stages including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Notre Dame of Paris, and others. She continues her dedication to the arts and creativity as President of Arts Incubator of Richardson.
Registration Policy:
Payment is necessary at the time of reservations. Due to catering requirements we must charge for reservations not canceled three days prior to the event. Unclaimed reservations during the event will be relinquished at noon. Walk-in customers will be seated based on space availability. To those customers with special dietary requirements, please contact Events Team directly three days prior to the event or place your specific dietary needs in the 'note's section' when placing your online reservation. Additional fees may apply.
