Dr. Alicia Makaye, president and co-founder, GXA Network Solutions

Now more than ever, physicians are treating patients through online or virtual visits, allowing patients to be seen from the comfort of their own home or office. This also allows physicians to increase the number of patients they can see in one day, reduces administrative staff time needed for each office visit, and decreases the wait time for patients. Overall, this results in reduced costs for everyone. Telehealth also has created challenges for the healthcare industry, ranging from legal issues to how healthcare insurers manage the payment process. In this lunchtime presentation, the panel will address what these changes mean to patients, healthcare providers, insurance companies and company insurance plans.
