Senior Service Networking
Speaker: Sim Drain IV, Medtronic
My name is Sim Drain IV and I am the Regional Market Development Specialist in the South District at Medtronic. My role in the company is to spread awareness and education on CVI, also known as chronic venous insufficiency. With the South including all of Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Memphis, TN, and parts of Louisiana, I do quite a bit of traveling. But I love my job because I know I am meeting a need that our communities and healthcare systems need.
Due to CVI affecting about 1 in 3 Americans, I put in a lot of effort to spread vein disease awareness to markets. I find ways to get in front of physicians and the community to further educate on the onset, prevention, and treatment of CVI as well as the insurance covered treatment options. Many times, this looks like me attending physician conferences, hosting education talks in communities, and hosting educational lunches with clinics. Ultimately, the work I do is necessary to further optimize individual's access to effective care for their venous disease.
