On Thursday, May 27, we will host Brian Yeh, copyright attorney with the Texas Regional US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) who will discuss copyright basics and considerations for entrepreneurs and small businesses. Every year, millions of Americans create original works--books, music, research and other forms of creative expression. All of these creations are intellectual property (IP), and all of them are protected by copyrights. While all US businesses are vulnerable to IP theft, small businesses are often at a particular disadvantage. If you are an entrepreneur, understanding basic copyrights can help your business success.
