The IQ Brew is a networking and educational series featuring short presentations from entrepreneurs, small businesses and subject -matter experts. The goal of the IQ Brew is to share lessons learned and to have the Richardson business community hear about the successes and challenges faced while starting and growing a business. Thursday, May 12, the IQ Brew welcomes the speakers from the US Patent and Trademark Office who discuss Intellectual Property (IP) basics. USPTO experts Jeff Burke and Reynaldo Vasquez will provide an overview of the different types of IP (patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and copyrights) and learn the importance of understanding each type
