Hank Mulvihill, the Optimist Economist, will discuss the State of the World for the capital markets in 2022. With virus issues, inflation and supply chain worries, monetary policy tightening, uncertain fiscal and tax policy, a looming election, and global tensions, this year will probably present challenges for investors and capex decision makers. Come to hear how these issues may impact Richardson and North Texas.
Hank is a long-time observer of the markets and global macroeconomic trends. In 2002, he founded the seminar series FED FRIDAY® to discuss the actions and impact of the U.S. Federal Reserve. Hank has been recognized in multiple years by the Five Star Award, Best in Client Satisfaction, Wealth Manager, by Texas Monthly. He has been interviewed on live TV on CNBC, quoted in WSJ.com, USA Today, Reuters, Financial Times, ABC.com, Investment News, BBC.com, Forbes.com, Morningstar Advisor, the Financial Planning Association, MoneyShow.com and many other publications. Hank has spoken at many industry conferences, including more than ten presentations at the Dallas Association for Financial Professionals Corporate Treasury Conference.
Hank joined Smith Anglin Financial in 2017. Smith Anglin Financial provides comprehensive financial management and tax planning for successful individuals, their families and organizations. The firm was founded in 1967 and has extensive experience with business continuity, estate planning, executive compensation, key person, buy-sell, trust and entity-owned life insurance solutions.
From 1996 to 2017, Hank was Principal of Mulvihill Asset Management®. Prior to going independent in 1996, Hank held positions at Prudential Securities, Alex. Brown and Sons, and Merrill Lynch. He earned a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree with concentrations in business and computer science from the University of Texas at Dallas. Hank holds the Certified Financial Planner? (CFP®) and Certified Wealth Strategist (CWS®) designations, and the Permanent Credential of Certified Cash Manager (CCM®) from the Association for Financial Professionals.
Hank is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), and the Dallas Association for Financial Professionals (DAFP). He was a long-time member of the Government Finance Officers Association of Texas (GFOAT). He is a member of the Richardson Rotary Club and the Richardson Chamber of Commerce. He is a graduate of Leadership Richardson, Richardson Citizen Police Academy, Richardson Citizen Fire Academy, is a former homeowner association President, and is active in other community organizations.
Hank and his wife Patricia (his better 7/8) have worked hard to provide stability for their three sons, who have all grown up at the same address, and attended the same local schools in Richardson. For relaxation, the destinations of choice are the family recreational lands near Georgetown, Texas and Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Hank is a Lifetime Member of the Cooper Fitness Center in Dallas. He and Patricia completed the 100th Boston Marathon. Hank owns the same 1941 Cadillac that he grew up with and used to take his first driver?s license test.

RCC registration/cancellation policy:
Reservations with payment are required. Because of catering requirements, we must charge for reservations not cancelled three days prior to the event. Cancellations after that date can be substituted, please provide name prior to event. On-site registration (walk-ins) will be charged an additional $10. Unclaimed reservations during the event will be relinquished at noon. On-site registrants (walk-in customers) will be seated based on space availability.
