Volunteer profile: Kathy Rogers
Chamber Ambassador Kathy Rogers celebrates community and relationships.
As owner/operator of Nothing Bundt Cakes in Richardson, “I love that I get to interact with the community every day as they celebrate special occasions and enjoy daily treats.”
As a volunteer with the Richardson Chamber, “I love being an ambassador and getting to know the members of the chamber, especially through ribbon cuttings.”
Kathy and her husband, Bryan, have lived in Richardson almost 30 years. They have two daughters, one son and one grandson. She was a tax accountant after graduating from Louisiana Tech, then became a stay-at-home mom. Several years ago, she operated a Nothing Bundt Cakes franchise before opening her own in Richardson two years ago.
“The chamber continues to impress me the more I know about the work done to support and attract businesses that make our community such a gem,” Kathy said. “Each decision in conjunction with the city is intentional with the future of our city in mind.”
Kathy volunteers at ribbon cuttings and other events, such as the golf tournament. She is a member of the current Leadership Richardson class.
“The relationships that I enjoy with Richardson business owners, employees, city staff and leadership, as well as other residents, make it rewarding to work in our community,” she said. “I enjoy supporting other businesses and learning how we can work together to continue to make our community the best place to live and work in Texas.”
The frequent contribution of bundt cakes in chamber gatherings has also been much appreciated. Thanks, Kathy!
