Through the hard-working efforts of the board, committees and countless volunteers, the chamber made a significant impact on our community this past year. Click here to view a PDF of the annual report.

For instance, the chamber set a goal this year to accelerate the leasing of at least one million square feet of office space in Richardson. That goal was exceeded by leasing 1.3. million square feet of office space and the chamber contributed to creating or retaining more than 6,300 jobs in our community.

The chamber supported and promoted the launch of the Mayor’s Summer Internship Program with RISD and the city. Twenty-four students got a peek into possible career paths as paid-part time summer interns at Richardson businesses. New businesses are now being sought for 2019.

The city, in cooperation with the chamber, completed a study and developed the vision and strategy to revitalize and develop the 1,000-acre Collins/Arapaho Transit Oriented Development Innovation District.
The DART Cotton Belt Commuter Rail Line was finally approved and funded this year. Thank you to the DART Board for seeing through this project that will link Richardson (and UT Dallas) with DFW Airport and downtown Fort Worth.

The chamber is focused on providing innovative value for our members by creating a video library of resources for our chamber members on topics such as protecting your business from cybersecurity and succession planning. Watch a video of 2018 accomplishments.

The chamber gave out a number of awards and hosted countless events.

Thank you for your support. We value your input and contributions for 2019.
