Hurst named to chamber board

Please welcome one of the chamber’s newest members of the board -- John Hurst, VP of government affairs and communications for Lennox International, Inc.

John’s experience runs the gamut: distribution, retail and energy services, serving in government affairs, communications, product management, general management, business development, national account management, marketing, strategic planning and service operations.

John joined Lennox in 2007 as the vice president of product management for Lennox International’s largest business segment, Lennox Residential. Prior to joining Lennox, John was the general manager – installation services for The Home Depot.  John also held various roles in planning, business development and service operations over an 11-year span with The Coca-Cola Company. 

John served 11 years in the United States Army as both an enlisted soldier and commissioned cavalry officer and is a combat veteran of the Persian Gulf War. 

John is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and holds a bachelor’s of science degree in economics and mechanical engineering. He also holds a MBA from Queens University, Charlotte, NC. 

John currently resides in Allen with his wife Shelia and three children.
