City breaks ground on new inclusive playground

The Richardson East Rotary Club and the City of Richardson have broken ground on the new Ann Eisemann Inclusive Playground.

The playground at Cottonwood Park will feature elements such as ramps, specialized surfaces and inclusive play amenities to ensure people of all ages and abilities can play. The park will also get improvements to accessible parking spaces and walkways. Construction is scheduled to be complete by late spring 2019, weather permitting.

Through a fundraising campaign led by the RERC Foundation, $500,000 was raised to enhance inclusive elements to the playground.
