The company confirmed that it has leased approximately 100,000 square feet at Galatyn Commons in Richardson, located at 2375 N. Glenville Drive. The space will house hundreds of CBRE's technology employees, President and CEO Bob Sulentic told the Business Journal last week. The company's corporate headquarters is now in Uptown Dallas.
CBRE will start occupying its new space in Richardson next year. The space was previously occupied by Service King, which is downsizing its footprint in the building, according to the Dallas Morning News.
Dallas is already home to CBRE's largest U.S.-based workforce of about 3,150 people. CBRE (NYSE: CBRE) is the world's largest commercial real estate services and investment firm with more than 530 offices worldwide and over 100,000 employees, as of Dec. 31, 2019.
With the company's headquarters move, Dallas is now home to 11 Fortune 500 headquarters. CBRE boasts the No. 128 spot on the 2020 list, and is the latest in a long line of companies coming to DFW from California.
Last year, McKesson Corp. left San Francisco for Las Colinas, just after Core-Mark Holding announced it would leave the Bay Area for Westlake. More recently, Charles Schwab nailed down Jan. 1 as the official move-in date for its Westlake campus headquarters.
