Personal attention and business support are keys to business recruitment.

And that’s how Mike Skelton, director of the Mayor’s office of international business, describes his success recruiting the latest foreign company now calling Richardson home.

“Axionent is the latest foreign company to establish their U.S. presence in Richardson,” said Mike. “I met with the CEO of this Sri Lanka-based company last June at the SelectUSA Investment Summit in Washington, D.C.” The company specializes in smart mobile transactions, payments and data analytics.

“I persuaded him to visit Richardson, which he did two weeks later. After two other visits to Richardson to scope out the business opportunity, we helped him find office space and provided him with UT Dallas interns to help him do market research. Axionent's team also includes some experienced local professionals. Their current focus is to provide data analytics to the restaurant sector, which can in turn be presented as mobile loyalty features to their respective customers.”

Axionent’s industry-proven systems process multi-millions of transactions per day and serve the transportation sector through their NFC/mobile-based automatic fare collection systems, smart toll collections and ticketing systems, mobile banking and micro credit processing software as well as smart loyalty and data analytics platforms in the retail business sector. Their analytics-based loyalty software is targeted to the retail sector, complemented by technologies such as NFC, BLE and beacons are en route to creating a difference in digital transformation in the restaurant sector.
