Sue Thornton is no stranger to creativity. She uses it in her business, and she uses it in her work with the Chamber. Sue is our Ambassador of Month, but that’s only part of her involvement with our organization. Sue also is a tri-chair for Early Net, the Chamber’s Wednesday morning breakfast networking event. Her job is to book the five-minute commercials. She has been a Chamber member four years.
“I chose to get more involved with the Chamber last fall initially to keep in touch with new companies coming into the area and also to help grow my business,” she said. “As I got more involved, I experienced how it helps promote your business. People want to do business with a company that has a solid reputation of being part of the Chamber.”
Sue is the owner and CEO of Photo Organizing Solutions, a company she started after losing her corporate job when the company was sold to an out-of-state corporation. Photo Organizing Solutions works with individuals and companies to preserve their photographic memories by scanning photos and producing memory books and other gift items with photos on them.
“I work to provide clients a professional service with integrity, creativity and honesty to help organize your memories.”
Of course, she has made plenty memories of her own since joining the Chamber. Sue credits her Chamber involvement with helping her establish many of her current friendships.
“You get to meet so many people, and they become your friends. I cannot say enough about the friendships I have made with other individuals from the Chamber,” she said.
In her personal time, Sue likes to dabble in photography and is a member of the Plano Photography Club. She also loves to travel with her husband. Sue has two puppies which she considers her kids now that her only child is grown with children of his own.
Please join us in congratulating Sue and thanking her for her service to the Chamber.
