SUMMARY:Growth and Mobility - Sept 21\, 2016
DESCRIPTION:Presented by\n\n \n\n\n\nCotton Belt Rail Update\n\n\n\nfeaturing Stephen Salin\, Vice President of Capital Planning\, Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART)\n\n\n\nFor long\, the major missing link in Richardson's transportation infrastructure has been a commuter rail link directly to DFW Airport. Recently and surprisingly\, the possibility has arisen that the Cotton Belt commuter rail line connecting Richardson/Plano to DFW Airport via the CityLine station could be a reality in as little as six years\, much sooner than the 2030 or later date Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) had previously planned. While the fortuitous opportunity is present\, some challenges remain to be resolved. Come hear the latest updates on the Cotton Belt from DART Vice President of Capital Planning Stepen Salin.\n\n\n\nIn addition\, Mike Nissenbaum\, CEO of Richardson's newest employer Aprima Medical Software\, will speak briefly about his company and take questions from the audience. Richardson Economic Development Partnership (REDP) staff will provide an update of recent Richardson business activity.\n\n\n\nGrowth & Mobility is a members only luncheon. Please note that registration will close on Tuesday\, September 20.
