Revamped business network sees increase in attendance
A major goal for the Chamber this year was to increase value and attendance at business networking opportunities. So, the entire business network was revamped.
“It had been following the same format for years," said Drew Snow, vice president of member services. "It was drawing the same members, but wasn’t growing and was providing limited benefit to new members.”
And the revamp is working. “We’re seeing 50 percent growth in breakfast meetings alone,” said Drew.
Connect with other connected small business owners. This traditional EarlyNet group offers a wealth of referrals to open the door to new subsets of Richardson business opportunity.
The format for the mornings can include:
Road Show: visit an area business to learn more about their industry.
Speaker: educational topics include tangible ways to help you improve your business.
Panel: a group of speakers will be available for short comments and an interactive session with the audience.
Bring a Newcomer: this speed networking session focuses on referrals and showcasing individuals.
Educational Brown Bag Lunch
In depth presentations are made local by companies and panels on relevant topics such as insurance, taxation, marketing, and sales. Bring your lunch and the RCC provides the refreshments.
AfterHours Happy Hour
This event moves to a new host member each month to offer the opportunity to spotlight their business on the third Thursday of the month. Networking is the focus, though the host will have a few minutes to speak to attendees. Low pressure and social-oriented, the happy hour is a great way to build a friendly network of Richardson business people.
Sponsors receive their name and logo on all marketing materials, signage at the event, on the website and member calendar emails. Sponsors will also have the opportunity to say a few words at each event.
