Ambassador profile: Sue Thornton
Sue Thornton is no stranger to creativity. She uses it in her business, and she uses it in her work with the chamber. Sue is our ambassador of the month, but that’s only part of her involvement with our organization. A member for five years, she also is on the committee for the Richardson Business Network.
Sue believes that if you are a small business and looking for a group to help get the word out about your business, the chamber is a must-join group. Initially she joined to help grow her business and meet new prospects and customers, and this is still true today. But she continues because she has met many new businesses in the community and formed new friendships with them.
Sue is the owner and CEO of Photo Organizing Solutions, a company she started after losing her corporate job when the company was sold to an out-of-state corporation. Photo Organizing Solutions works with many individuals who need to organize their personal photos but don’t really know where to start. In 2017 she started working with companies to preserve their important documents and photographs. Many small companies in our area do not have a person designated in their business to organize and digitize their important documents.
“I work to provide my clients a professional service with integrity, creativity and honesty to help organize memories," Sue said. "So many people today are getting into their family genealogy and being more organized with their photos will be a wonderful help to them.”
In her personal time, Sue likes to dabble in photography, enjoy time with her grown grandchildren, and her family genealogy. Sue has two puppies which she considers her kids now that her only child is grown with children of his own. Sue also loves to travel with her husband.
