Description
The Richardson Chamber of Commerce Human Resources Committee, presented by DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit).
June 4 program
"Responding to cultural change: How to retain Millennials in today's competitive labor market"
Featuring
Robert Danna, Director, Organizational Transformation & Talent, Bersin by Deloitte, Deloitte Consulting LLP
Deborah Cole, Sr. Manager, Organizational Transformation & Talent, Deloitte Consulting LLP
Our past three HR Committee lunches identified three challenges HR professionals face today: attracting young talent in a tight labor market, navigating though generational differences at work, and creating impactful company culture.
Today's young workforce is taking a different approach to tenure than previous generations. Millennials stay at their companies for an average of four years. How do we adjust company culture to encourage workers to stay and grow with the company? If we cannot change culture, how do we adapt to make the most of Millennials' short tenures?
Join us at our June lunch as we address these issues and discuss successful strategies to not only attract, but retain the new generation of employees. Bob Danna and Deborah Cole of Deloitte Consulting will offer successful strategies that have been implemented at companies who lead the way in terms of employee engagement.
In addition, a representative from nonprofit organization The Warren Center will be present to speak about community involvement opportunities.
Lunch is included.
Attendance is limited to HR professionals.
Please note that registration will close on Wednesday, June 3 at 5:00 p.m. Contact Jenny Mizutowicz at jenny@richardsonchamber.com or 972-792-2817 if you encounter any problems registering online.
